Budapest travel tips

I have been just recently for an extended weekend in Budapest. It is not a first time me being here, but first time being here with a friend a discicering it alone by foot. I have been in Balaton and Budapest twice with a family in past years, therefore we haven't visisted all main sights as well as it was that kind of family chill trip you know:D
I have enjoyed my stay here and it is really beautiful. I love the river chilling and the night life of this city. People are nice and outgoing, kind of it reminds me of London in the evenings ad they hang out in bars, restaurants or parks. Shops and businesses are open till late and the city center is so close to many monuments so we did almost everything by whole day walking (however, after 2 days of a walk my feets hurts now:D) But I think its nice to do walks as you get a chance to see the the life of a city as well as the atmosphere and things you don't have to necessary see.
Here are lists of major sight seeing monuments I have visited during my trip. Let me know any your recommendations, suggestions, opinions and experiences of Budapest :)

1. Buda castle

2. Heroe's Square and Andrassy Avenue (the street alike as Champs Elysees in Paris)

3. Chain Bridge and Danube promenade and shoes

4. Fisherman's bastion and Matthias church

5. St. Stephen's basilica

6. Liberty statue and the view from Gellert Hill

7. Hungarian Parliament

Other recommendations:

  • Fashion Street (aka Deak Ferenec street)
  • Museums
  • 306 Rooftop bar at Andrassy Avenue
  • Rose Ice cream at Gelarto Rosa (near St.Stephens basilica)
  • Erzsebet ter (a square and a great chill place on the grass or nearby a water with bars surrounded)
